Background and Experience
Here are some of the activities and projects lead by our school and classified by topic area ACTIVE PARTICIPATION TO CITIZENSHIP AND LEGALITY. The objectives of this project are: - Educating to respect the rules at school and in society - Know the basic principles of the Constitution - Know and distinguish between the concepts of state, region, province, municipality - Know the human rights and reflect on the commitment to defend them - Know the main environmental emergencies in order to act on a daily basis for environmental protection ATTIVA-MENTE. This is a project on sports and nature, such as: - Orienteering - Trekking - Cycling The aim is consistent with the territorial project to create a "Rural Park" in Scerni for the exploitation of natural, cultural and gastronomic resources in our territory. EDUCATIONAL FARMS. The “educational farms” are individual or associated agricultural enterprises, which play both traditional farming activities educational activities to raise the awareness on agriculture and its products and nutrition, promoting a conscious food consumption and encourage children and young people in the "food culture". The project consists of educational workshops for schools, citizenship and any other potential partner interested in learning about the starting point of the food production process. EDUCATIONAL GARDENS. With this project, the school aims to encourage the acquisition of environmentally and socially responsible behavior through the implementation of good practices deriving from local tradition. The kitchen garden, in this sense, is not only a “gym of natural sciences” but a place of exchange between generations, respect for the cycles of nature, biodiversity, sustainable behavior and healthy eating MUSIC. AIMS: - encourage and promote interpersonal relationships facilitating peer interaction; - stimulate the creativity of children / young people through a series of proposals that stimulate them to move, playing with their voices and instruments, improvising sound sequences; - promote the integration and the inclusion of pupils in difficulty; - promote mentoring relationships and peer education; - enhance communication skills;- produce autonomous processi ng of sound materials. CODING. Through this project, our school intends to promote: - the basic skills in communication; - the basic skills in mathematics, science and technology; - Digital competence - the competence of "learning to learn" Key staff/persons involved in this application: Livio TOSONE – headmaster, graduated as Architect in 1978, then he started his career as teacher in 1994. He became school principal in 2006 and he’s been managing this school since 2009 Donatella MARIANO–administration manager, is dealing with all administration issues of this school, supported by 9 staff, which look after warehouses management. Nadia MANZI has been assigned to follow EU projects as well as regional projects for all the schools of this institute.
